How Can I Help?

VOLUNTEERING

WRERS is calling on horse lovers to volunteer for the horses. We've got hands-on opportunities for volunteers of ALL levels of experience. Come out and spend an afternoon with some of our residents. It's also a great way to learn about horses and proper horse care. One of our biggest needs is help with hauling horses. We also are looking for people with creative minds who can help with fund-raising campaigns and out-going volunteers to help spread the word about WRERS and educate the public! Volunteers need to be 16 yrs of age or older.

FOSTERING

Got room for a horse, pony or donkey? WRERS is looking for foster homes willing to care for equines while they re-hab and wait for a permanent home. By building a network of foster homes, WRERS will be able to care for more neglected & unwanted animals. We're also looking for long-term fostering for senior companion equines.

WRERS needs the financial support of caring animal lovers. Donations go towards veterinary care, farrier & equine dental visits, de-wormer, vaccinations and feed. Donations can be made via Paypal to info@albertahorserescue.com or by cheque. Please email info@albertahorserescue.com for our mailing address. At this time WRERS is unable to issue tax receipts, but we are working on making this available very shortly.
