A rescue horse is a great way to help a horse in need as well as add a new member to the family. Please take some time to look through our available horses as well as check out our courtesy listings in the sales barn. Our Pre-Adoption Questionnaire and Adoption Contract are available for viewing upon request. Please contact us and ask for a copy before applying so that you are fully aware of our policies.

We try to describe and give you as much information as we possibly can to ensure that the horse you adopt is a good match for you. WRERS does recommend adopters get a pre-purchase vet exam, especially when adopting a horse for riding. Our priority is to find loving permanent homes (although we do understand that circumstances change). We do have a non-breeding policy for our adoptees and right of first refusal policy as well. We also offer our companion horses on free lifetime lease agreements. We do not ask an adoption fee, but for the horses protection the horse remains our legal property. For as long as the adopter wishes or is able to care for the horse they may.

For legal reasons, please be sure that you are 18 yrs or older or have a parent/guardian contact us on your behalf. All adoption fees goes towards caring for our rescued horses.
